LUXURY SELF CONTAINED HOLIDAY COTTAGE IN EXCLUSIVE AREA
Set within the exclusive Buchanan Castle Estate, situated within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park, is this beautiful cottage within walking distance to the ruins of Buchanan Castle and Buchanan Castle Golf Club and a 5 minute drive to the shores of Loch Lomond.
OUTSIDE SPACE
This stand alone cottage is self contained and is entered via its own private gated off-street driveway, illuminated by bollard lights and security lighting.
The driveway will comfortably accommodate 2 vehicles. The cottage is surrounded by mature beech hedging and fenced off at the front making the property extremely private.
ACCOMMODATION
The cottage, previously three stables, are newly refurbished, into a charming one bedroomed one level cottage with generous kitchen with breakfast bar, lounge and shower room. Comfortably sleeps 2 adults and can accommodate a family of 4, with the option to turn the impressive corner sofa into a king size bed for the kids. The glass frontage allows bright and welcoming arrival. Presented in immaculate condition and upon arrival, guests fully appreciate the extent and quality of accommodation on offer.

LOCATION
Drymen is a south Stirlingshire village, within the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park and the "gateway" to the east side of Loch Lomond. It is surrounded by beautiful scenery and is a stopping off point on The West Highland Way.
The cottage is in a haven of tranquillity and the surrounding countryside has an abundance of wildlife. Red squirrels visit the garden on a regular basis. The nearby River Endrick has numerous pairs of nesting Osprey which can be seen all through the summer. There are plenty of local walks and hills to explore, for all ages and abilities.
White cottage is only some 18 miles to Glasgow city centre and 12 miles to the suburbs of Milngavie and Bearsden, Stirling 22 miles and Edinburgh 62 miles. There are two railway stations; closest railway station is Balloch approx. 8 miles, the other is Milngavie approx. 12 miles.

I walked Conic Hill and Ben Lomond while there - the cottage is well placed to access the local hills and Balloch and a short walk to the pretty village Drymen. The surroundings were so peaceful and quiet, we had the best lie in on the dreamiest,comfiest bed. There were so many handy extras including a welcome pack,straighteners and being able to connect spotify to the tv for music.
The location was also perfect for exploring as we kayaked around the islands at Loch Lomond, climbed Conic hill, ate and drank at the lovely local pubs and watched the sun set on the beach.
Sam and Gary were excellent hosts and went out their way to make us feel at home. We loved it so much we stayed an extra night and are very much looking forward to re booking.

There are several footpaths from the cottage; we did a loop along paths with good terrain and mainly on the flat - which was in fact our favourite walk of the entire trip. The cottage... read more is stunning. Everything is brand spanking new right down to the grass in front of the cottage. The bed is super comfy, shower is superb as is the wi-fi. The layout is very good, feels like 3 segments, bedroom with on suite to the left, kitchen & breakfast bar in the centre & the sitting area & TV to the right.
Once you get your bearings the location is perfect. 5min drive or 30min stroll to Drymen, 20min drive to to Balmaha, we didn’t dare try that stroll. We had takeaway food from The Clachan Inn & at the Buchanan Arms a few times too.
Nice walks to be had locally, the golf course is mins away as is the abandoned castle. Sam & Gary know all the places to go.
Nothing was too much for either & all we can say is thank you & see you soon.
